The Roles:
Manawa Ora – Emergency House – Pou Hihiko
Manawa Ora envisions whaanau reaching their full potential free of violence and abuse by offering short-term emergency housing to perpetrators of domestic violence. Working nights and/or weekends, located at our Emergency House in Hamilton, you’d be a pivotal part of this organisation.
This role is focused on housing and connecting whaanau with the community and provides support from within our Emergency Housing service. You will be responsible to be a pillar of strength in inspiring change and wellness by providing sustainable, in-depth assessment, planning, and quality interventions, as well as service coordination of wraparound services to whaanau.
Te Haumirimiri Ngaakau Mokopuna – Kaimahi
Te Haumirimiri Ngaakau Mokopuna is an exciting new initiative, a collaborative approach to prevent tamariki going into statutory care. Our moemoeaa and tuumanako for Te Haumirimiri Ngaakau Mokopuna, is to provide a high quality te ao Maaori/kaupapa Maaori service to our whaanau, tamariki and mokopuna.
Our collaboration with Kirikiriroa Family Services Trust and K’aute is a unique Polynesian blend of service innovation and cultural intelligence that will provide an increased level of cultural responsiveness that will shift and support whaanau, tamariki and mokopuna towards mana motuhake.

These are full time / fixed term that offers a real opportunity for a person who enjoysworking with whanau, is open to personal growth and enjoys a challenge. Knowledge of, and experience working in a kaupapa Maaori and not-for-profit agency would be an advantage.
