Our Whare is available to tàne issued with a police safety order for 5 – 10 days. We are committed and focused on addressing the behaviour and core beliefs of whaanau coming into the whare from an interventions perspective. 

Historically we have provided a place of safety for perpetrators involved in family harm episodes however under our new model of operation, we provide sustainable, in-depth assessment, planning, quality interventions and service co-ordination of wrap around services to whānau by being a pillar of strength to inspire change and wellness. 

If we simply stay in crisis mode and reinforce a non-therapeutic punitive approach, we fail to equip tāne with the skills to manage and regulate their behaviour, thoughts and feelings.
