Our Story

Teena koutou i roto i ngaa mihi o te waa,

The Hamilton Abuse Intervention Project (HAIP) celebrated 30 years of serving our communities on Friday 26th February 2021.

In the early 1990s, HAIP was a mainstream community response designed to monitor statutory agency responses to family violence within the Waikato rohe.

HAIP announced its new name as part of the celebrations, signifying the dawn of a new era, kaupapa and focus. Our new vision is about building resilient whaanau, and our purpose is about developing loving whaanau so that they thrive.
